 Hey everybody,
My name is Mariam, everybody calls me Mari though! (Just to set this straight first, the A and I in my name are pronounced like in pizza, do never call me Marie, I don't like that). I was born March 25th 1988, in Germany and that’s where I still live. Northern Germany. I lived in Munich for 8 years (8-16). These 8 years made me who I am today! I’m going to the so called Gymnasium, that’s a weird type of school, but very regular for Germany. You can compare it with college! I have 4 brothers and no sisters. 3 of my brothers are older than me! I’m proud to be the only girl, even though I had some tough times!
I like... Talking to my friends online, listening to BFS, and of course making stickmen videos is my passion!
I don’t like... People who think they are "sooo cool" but are dumb! People who think laughing is uncool and the fact one day only has 24 hours! And cells.
When I moved here in '04 I didn't really have friends. I felt okay though. A little later I built a great thing.. with just a few items! My computer. Back then, I named my computer JACK...(Mr Reddick jr. was born LATER). I went through tough times being alone, since I still felt kind of connected to Munich. YAY for Bowling For Soup making me feel good!
I’m a really big The O.C. fan. I was listening to a web radio from Texas July 24th ’05, because Ben McKenzie was born in Austin/Texas. I know it’s weird. But I’m glad I did! So I was listening and then I heard "She said she needed a break..." The first few words from Ohio (Come back to Texas). I loved that song right away!!! So I googled this band called "Bowling For Soup" which I thought was a freaking weird name. But it was funny. After I bought that song I just had to "get more and get more"…! So I got more songs! I loved all the songs!! It was the first time I actually loved a band that much! Before, if someone asked me what my favorite band was I always was like "this ‘n that". I could name ONE band! From then on, I could!
That’s how my obsession started, and I still love BFS as I loved them when I first heard ’em!
February 6th '07 I met Bowling For Soup for the first time! I was really excited and nervous at the same time! But when I was actually standing in front of them, they made me feel good! It was much fun and they were amazing. Check my gallery for some pictures!
Then, June 1st '07, I spent two days with them. They played here in Germany at our ROCK AM RING festival! Jaret Reddick (Lead singer) asked if I could come to help 'em out with translations, directions etc. It was one kick ass weekend. Stickmen Productions is not Pixar (oh really?). So I work at a low cost, but that doesn't mean that I don't work professionally! Every customer gets an excellent service and high quality products!
